Architectural, landscape design competition for Truong Sa museum launched

Khanh Hoa (VNA) - The Department ofCulture and Sports and the Department of Construction of south-central Khanh Hoaprovince, and the provincial Association of Architects launched anarchitectural and landscape design competition for the Truong Sa Museum.

This activity is part of a series of events markingthe 370th anniversary of the province’s establishment anddevelopment and the 48th anniversary of the Liberation Day of Khanh Hoaprovince (April 2).

According to the provincial People'sCommittee, entries should highlight the political significance of Vietnam'ssovereignty over seas and islands, ensure the principle of harmonious,eco-friendly design that is convenient for maintenance, and create an open spaceto attract local residents and tourists.

Truong Sa Museum will be built on a site ofover 2.5 hectares, adjacent to the Gac Ma soldiers’ memorial site in Cam HaiDong commune, Cam Lam district.

With indoor, outdoor, experimental andinteractive spaces, the museum will be a place to preserve, store, display,introduce and popularise the sovereignty, history, and culture of Vietnam's seasand islands.

Entries should be sent from March 30-May20./.
