In her remarks, Ambassador Nguyen Thi Bich Thao expressed her gratitude to the late leader, and emphasised the historical significance of the Dien Bien Phu Victory as well as the signing of the Geneva Accords 70 years ago, which put an end to the resistance war against the French, serving as a source of encouragement for liberation movements around the world.
Vadvari Tibor, Deputy Mayor of Zalaegerszeg, said the city plans to upgrade the monument, turning it into a venue for Vietnamese and Hungarians. He also hoped that the relationship between the two countries in general and Vietnam and Zalaegerszeg city in particular will continue to be expanded across spheres./.
