The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Hanoi on August 23 held an exchange with the Asian-European Youth delegation, who are on their Vietnam tour from August 15-25.

The “environmentally friendly” themed delegation is made up of 33 youngsters from Lithuania , Germany , Spain , China and Vietnam .

During the exchange, participants discussed ways to boost economic growth in parallel with protecting the environment in a sustainable way, which is an obvious problem faced by Vietnam and Hanoi in particular.

They also talked about supporting policies for volunteers to encourage more youngsters to participate in voluntary activities to protect the environment.

Earlier on August 21, the delegation made a fact-finding tour to northern Quang Ninh province, where they joined in building wastewater tanks with local farmers, harvesting crops, and guiding farmers to make full use of recycled products.

Thanks to the tour, members of the delegation experienced Vietnamese life and explored more of the country’s culture, while sharpening their skills, especially how to work in a team.-VNA
