The Australian Government will continue to provide Vietnam with more aid to help the country apply new initiatives in education and training.

The World Bank (WB) in Vietnam reported on September 10 that the support will be channelled through the Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID) and the bank.

Subsequently, each initiative will receive 30,000 USD to improve the quality of teaching and studying by applying new study methods.

Over the last five years, the WB, through its Vietnam Development Information Centre, has joined hands with AusAID to help Vietnamese State agencies and social organisations use information and communication technology more effectively during training.

In 2011, 145,000 USD in assistance from the Australian government gave 330 Vietnamese managers, teachers and researchers the opportunity to take their studies further.-VNA
