Ba Ria - Vung Tau (VNA) – The Ba Ria – Vung Tau provincial People’s Committee and the government of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Russia, have signed cooperation agreements and an action plan between the two localities.
The documents were signed by Bashkortostan’s Prime Minister Rustem Mardanov and Chairman of the Ba Ria – Vung Tau People’s Committee Nguyen Van Trinh in the Vietnamese southern province on January 12.
Bashkortostan’s economy is strong in agriculture, tourism, education and training in oil and gas industry, which is similar to that of Ba Ria Vung Tau, making a positive ground for the two localities to cooperate, said PM Mardanov.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Thanh Son said that Bashkortostan wants to boost multi-faceted cooperation with Ba Ria Vung Tau, especially in oil and gas, tourism, and hi-tech agriculture.
The same day, a workshop on the potential and advantages of the two localities and cooperation opportunities was held.-VNA
