The Ta Xua Mountain Range in Tram Tau district, Yen Bai province, sits at an altitude of 2,865 metres above sea level and is one of the highest peaks in Vietnam. The route to the peak is rated by adventure tour companies at difficulty level 4 (challenging) out of 5 rating levels.

Travel aficionados have been appealed to the captivating charm of the primeval forest on the way to the top Ta Xua mountain, locating in the natural border between the northern mountainous provinces of Son La and Yen Bai.
Ta Xua, a high mountain range locating in the natural border between northern provinces of Son La and Yen Bai, has been known as "Paradise in the Clouds", which hosts forests of ancient Shan Tuyết tea trees, some several hundred years old.
At a height of about 2,800 metres above sea level and set in a magnificent mountain range, Ta Xua commune in Bac Yen district, Son La province, has become an attractive tourist destination in recent times for adventure lovers. The land is also known as one of the most fascinating “cloud hunting” paradises in the northwestern region.
Tours to conquer Ta Xua and Ta Chi Nhu, two of the 15 highest mounts in Vietnam, were launched in Tram Tau district of northwestern Yen Bai province on September 25.
