Beijing (VNA) – Representatives from nearly 30 Vietnamese and Chinese universities and institutes gathered at a dialogue forum in Bejing on September 25 to discuss journalism and media training, cooperation in academic exchange, and promotion of humanistic exchanges between the two nations.
At the opening session, Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities under the Vietnam National University, Hanoi Dang Thi Thu Huong stressed that journalism and media training are facing both opportunities and challenges, adding education establishments need to transform their mindset as well as training approaches and methodologies to meet the requirements of the multiplatform and multimedia journalism.
Both sides agreed to continue organising the event in a suitable time, carrying out dialogues as well as diversifying their forms for sustainable cooperation. Besides, they will study to diversify joint training programmes and promote exchanges of scholars and lecturers.
Dianlin Huang from the Communication University of China told the Vietnam News Agency that the event offered an opportunity for the two sides to enhance their mutual understanding so as to bolster collaboration in the areas of human resources training and scientific research./.
VNA emphasises journalism ethics in digital age at OANA meeting
A delegation from the Vietnam News Agency (VNA), led by Deputy General Director Doan Thi Tuyet Nhung, attended the 53rd meeting of the Executive Board of the Organisation of Asia-Pacific News Agencies (OANA) in Moscow on September 15 to discuss ethical aspects of modern media, particularly the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in journalism.
