An exhibition aiming to promote works of Belgian literature translated and published in Vietnam is taking place in Ho Chi Minh City's Book Street. The event is part of the activities to welcome Vietnam Book Day and World Book and Copyright Day (April 23).

The Wallonie-Bruxelles delegation in Vietnam brings to the exhibition 75 wooden prints, including 10 drawings of famous Belgian cartoonist Dany and about 60 covers of famous literary works that have been translated into Vietnamese and published in Vietnam.

Among them are the works of Maurice Maeterlinck, a Nobel laureate in 1911 and Georges Simenon, the author of the world’s famous detective novels.

The Wallonie-Bruxelles delegation has been cooperating with Vietnamese publishers for more than 20 years to introduce to Vietnamese readers great works of literature of the French-speaking Belgian community.-VNA
