Biggest gong in Vietnam recognised

A copper gong made by an artisan in Dien Ban district, Quang Nam province, has been recognised as a Guinness Record in Vietnam for being the biggest gong.
A copper gong made by an artisan inDien Ban district, Quang Nam province, has been recognised as aGuinness Record in Vietnam for being the biggest gong.

The gong, 2.5m in diameter and 700 kg in weight, is now in the DongXanh (Green Field) Cultural Park in the Central Highlands province ofGia Lai , where the first International Gong Festival will be held thismonth.

The Vietnamese Guinness Record Centre will grant the record acertificate and cup to the gong’s owner, Duong Ngoc Truyen, on November13./.
