The newcustoms office is hoped to facilitate administrative and customsprocedures for export-import activities in the region.
Inaddition, it will help reduce transport cost and time for localbusinesses as they no longer have to travel to Ho Chi Minh City tocomplete customs procedures for their import-export goods.
BinhDuong has so far counted 28 industrial parks and eight industrialcomplexes covering a total area of 9,800 ha, with many of them have beenfilled.
As one of the country’s biggest economic hubs, theprovince hopes to gain an export value of over 14.44 billion USD thisyear, up 15.7 percent annually, with the foreign-invested sector makingup 81.3 percent of the total.
Its imports areforecast to reach 11.58 billion USD, with raw materials for productionas well as machinery and equipment adding to a year-on-year increase of16.5 percent.-VNA
