The Bitexco Financial Tower, a symbol of Ho Chi Minh City, has made the list of the top 50 most innovative buildings of the last 15 years, published by the Council of Tall Buildings, a Chicago-based organisation of architects and designers.

Bitexco was ranked 32nd , standing side by side with other famous buildings in the world including Burj Khalipha in Dubai, Taipei 101 in Taiwan, 1 Bligh Street in Sydney, and Marina Bay Sands Intergrated Resort in Siingapore.

Earlier, Bitexco Tower was named among the world’s 20 most Iconic Skyscrapers by CNN Go in 2011 before honourably receiving the ‘Excellence in Structure Engineering Awards 2011’ by the National Council of Structure Associations (NCSEA) of United States .

In 2013, the tower was voted by CNN as one of the world’s 25 great skyscrapers – icons of construction.

Bitexco Financial Tower , owned by Vietnam’s Bitexco Group, is situated in the centre of Ho Chi Minh City . At 263 metres, the skyscraper stands with 68 storeys and three basements.

With its design drawn from Vietnam’s national flower, the lotus, the Bitexco Tower embodies dynamism and modernity in the era of integration.-VNA
