Blood donation festival collects nearly 9,000 units nationwide

Nearly 9,000 units of blood were collected nationwide during the Xuan Hong (Red Spring) festival from February 18-25, the biggest annual blood donation campaign, reported the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion (NIHBT).

Hanoi (VNA) – Nearly 9,000units of blood were collected nationwide during the Xuan Hong (Red Spring)festival from February 18-25, the biggest annual blood donationcampaign, reported the National Institute of Hematology and BloodTransfusion (NIHBT).

The festival saw significant contributions from volunteerorganisations like the Hanoi Association of Youth Blood Donor Recruiter(HAYBDR) that collected 75% of the total, or 6,640 units.

Since its launch in 2008, the event has attracted hundreds ofthousands of blood donors and collected over 121,000 blood units.

The campaign has played a crucial role in ensuring a stable bloodsupply for those in need while raising public awareness of the importance ofblood donation./.

Ministry of Home Affairs to apply KPIs in public employee evaluation

Public order crime drops 22.55% in first half

In the field of economic crime, 2,096 cases involving 4,194 suspects were prosecuted in the first half. For corruption and position-related crimes, 370 cases and 1,042 suspects were brought to trial. Meanwhile, police uncovered 11,687 drug-related cases involving 22,863 individuals.
