Border guards in central Ha Tinh province, in cooperation with Laos police, have arrested a suspected drug trafficker and confiscated one tonne of marijuana and 39 cakes onf heroin after a two-day investigation.
On April 7, Lao police, with the coordination of the anti-drug squad of Vietnamese border guard force, stopped a car in Laos ’ Bolikhamxay province and found the marijuana as the accused trafficker fled the scene.
One day later, the trafficker was arrested with the heroin. A car with Lao plates was also seized.
The case is under investigation.-VNA
