Dien Bien (VNA) – The third Buddhist festival in Ban Flower season kicked off in the northwestern province of Dien Bien on March 17, attracting many visitors.
Numerous events will be held during the thee-day festival, including a requiem for fallen soldiers, a praying ceremony for peace and the second Buddhist Congress of Dien Bien province in 2017-2022 term.
The festival is part of the activities in 2017 of the Buddhist Sangha of Vietnam in Dien Bien province. It aims to enhance the solidarity of all ethnic groups of Vietnam and introduce Vietnamese Buddhism, thus boosting tourism activities in line with the provincial socio-economic development.-VNA
