A Vietnamese Bank-funded building for overseas Vietnamese in Cambodia ’s Siem Reap province was inaugurated on Oct. 4.
The 800,000 USD project, the first of its kind funded by the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV), is capable of accommodating 500 people.
This building will house the office for the Vietnamese-Cambodian People Association in Siem Reap province and it will be a venue for overseas Vietnamese to receive healthcare, learn culture and vocational training.
Addressing the event, Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and President of the Cambodia-Vietnam Friendship Association Men Som Ol spoke of the significance of the inauguration of the building when the two countries are celebrating the 45th anniversary of their bilateral diplomatic ties.
She said she believes that the Vietnamese people community will consolidate their relationship and be able to access better education welfare activities.-VNA
