The ceremony saw the participation of representatives ofthe Government’s Special Task Board, the High Command of Military Zone4, and the two Lao provinces of Salanan and Sekong.
The remainswere found during a six-month search conducted by Team 192 of the ThuaThien-Hue Military Command during the 2012-2013 dry season.
According to Colonel Tran Dinh Phong, head of the Command, the team hasbrought home the remains of nearly 700 martyrs from the two Laoprovinces.
By 2012, it was estimated that the remains of over1,000 Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts were still scatteredacross Laos.-VNA
