Hanoi (VNA) – Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc will chair a conference with businesses nationwide in Ho Chi Minh City on April 29, expected to spread his message that enterprises serve as a momentum for national economic development.

Vice Chairman of the Government Office Le Manh Ha announced at a press briefing that the event, also co-chaired by Deputy PMs Vuong Dinh Hue and Trinh Dinh Dung, will see the participation of representatives from businesses, including State, non-State, joint stock and FDI firms, cooperatives, domestic and foreign associations and local leaders, who can join the conference directly or online.

According to Ha, institutional solutions will be rolled out at the conference in an effort to create the best possible conditions for enterprises, particularly private and small- and medium-sized ones.

Businesses will also have a chance to present difficulties hindering their operation caused by administrative procedures, the official said.

Notably, as part of the event, the Chairmen of the Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committees are expected to sign a commitment with the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) to ensure optimal conditions for businesses based in the localities.

In the afternoon working session, PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc will hold a meeting with representatives from ministries, agencies and localities to handle pending petitions raised by enterprises.

The meeting, Ha said, demonstrates the Government’s resolve to tackle root causes of the problems facing businesses.

The Government will then issue a resolution aiming to help Vietnamese businesses become an economic momentum.

The resolution, scheduled to be discussed at the Cabinet’s April meeting, will touch upon various topics like policies, customs procedures, taxes, land, construction and capital, among others, he noted.

Echoing Ha’s views, VCCI Chairman Vu Tien Loc said the conference affirms the Government’s determination to protect enterprises in the face of multiple obstacles and the unsafe business climate.-VNA
