Covering nearly 150 hectares, the IPshave favourable geographical positions which are expected to facilitateinvestor operations.
Director of the Department of Planning andInvestment Mai Huu Chinh said the province faced difficulties inattracting investment flows in the 2010-2013 period but it has seen morepositive changes since 2014.
Apart from a number ofcentral-level projects and high value foreign investments operating inthe locality, Ca Mau has granted investment certificates to 173smaller-scale projects with total registered capital of nearly 1trillion VND (some 46 million USD) so far.
As part of efforts todraw more investors, local authorities have implemented a number ofmeasures such as simplifying administrative procedures and offering taxincentives.
They are also paying due attention to building andupgrading infrastructure systems connecting Ca Mau city to its IPs whileintensifying promotion activities to introduce the province’spotentials and strengths to possible investors.-VNA
