Phnom Penh (VNA) – Cambodia and Bangladesh agreed to enhance ties in multiple areas during the ongoing visit of Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to Cambodia.
Hasina is on an official visit to Cambodia from December 3-5 at the invitation of her Cambodian counterpart Samdech Hun Sen.
The two PMs met on December 4, followed by a joint press conference where they announced the Joint Communiqué on the Outcome of the Official Visit of PM Sheikh Hasina to Cambodia.
The leaders also witnessed the signing of 11 documents, including a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in implementing the UN’s 2030 Sustainable Development Goals and others on ties in labour and vocational training, tourism, institutional cooperation under the Joint Trade Council, institutional cooperation on promotion of investment, information and communication technology, aquaculture, and more.
Hasina is scheduled to pay a courtesy visit to King of Cambodia Norodom Sihamoni and meet with President of the Senate of Cambodia Samdech Say Chhum, President of the Cambodian National Assembly Samdech Heng Samrin and enterprises from both countries.-VNA
