Phnom Penh (VNA) – Cambodia’s Defence Minister Tea Banh and his Indonesian counterpart Ryamizard Ryacudu have agreed to expand the two countries’ military affiliation.
Meeting the media following their talks in Phnom Penh on August 10, Minister Tea Banh said the two ministers will sign a memorandum of understanding on comprehensive military cooperation. He, however, did not tell when the document will be inked.
During their talks, the ministers also discussed the East Sea issue and called on parties concerned to settle their disputes through peaceful talks.
Minister Ryamizard arrived in Cambodia on August 9 for a three-day visit that aims to reinforce bilateral military ties.
He is scheduled to pay a courtesy visit to Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen on August 10.-VNA
