The Cambodia - Vietnam Army Friendship House was inaugurated in a ceremony held on March 30 at the headquarters of the High Command of Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (RCAF) in Phnom Penh.
Covering an area of over 1,700 sq. m, the four-storey building was built at a cost of over 480,000 USD, sponsored by the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA). It will be used as the office of the RCAF High Command.
General Mam Sam, Deputy Chief of Joint Staff and Director of High Command’s Cabinet of the RCAF thanked the VPA for help in eliminating the Khmer rouge’s genocidal regime as well as its current cooperation.
Major-General Nguyen Huu Manh, Director of the Office of the VPA General Staff, said the VPA General Staff will provide an additional 170,000 USD for purchasing necessary equipment for the house.-VNA
