Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni left Hanoi on September 26, concluding a State-level visit to Vietnam.
During his stay, the King met with Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, President Truong Tan Sang, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung.
At the meetings, the Vietnamese leaders affirmed the Party and State’s consistent policy of attaching importance to continuously fostering the fine neighbourliness, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation and long-term sustainability with Cambodia .
King Norodom Sihamoni expressed his deep gratitude to the Vietnamese Party, State, Government and people for their support to the Cambodian people in the past as well as at present.
He affirmed that he will follow his father, Norodom Sihanouk, and mother, Monineath Sihanouk, in consolidating and developing the friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
The two sides agreed to strengthen the relationship for the interests of the two peoples as well as for peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world at large./. VNA
