Hanoi (VNA) – Cambodia’s Deputy Prime Minister Samdec Vibol Panha Sok An passed away at the age of 66 on March 15, announced the Cambodian Government.
Samdec Vibol Panha Sok An, who is also the head of the Council of Ministers, died of an illness at a hospital in Beijing, China, according to the announcement.
He is a member of the Standing Committee of the ruling Cambodian People’s Party. He had served as the minister in charge of the Council of Ministers since 1998, and was promoted to the position of a deputy prime minister in 2004.-VNA
