In the coming time, the campaign to study and follow President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example will be accelerated.
The assertion was made at a national conference in Hanoi on May17 to partially sum up the two-year implementation of the Politburo’sDirective No. 03-CT/TW on “Continued acceleration of studying andfollowing President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example”.
The event was co-chaired by Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong; LeHong Anh, Politburo member and Standing member of the Secretariat ofthe Party Central Committee; and Dinh The Huynh, Politburo member,Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Head of the Party CentralCommittee’s Commission for Popularisation and Education.
The conference agreed that in the coming time, the campaign willfocus on studying Uncle Ho’s working style, which is close to themasses, democratic, and based on example setting. Officials and partymembers, especially key leaders are required to set the example forothers to follow in implementing the resolution issued at the 4thconference of the Party Central Committee on “a number of urgent issuesrelating to the building of the Party at present”.
Addressing the one-day gathering, Anh said initial results have beenrecorded in implementing the aforementioned Politburo instruction.
This has contributed to helping localities, ministries and branches,and agencies nationwide to fulfil their political tasks as well ashelped bolster officials, Party members and people’s confidence in theParty and State, Anh added.
In order tosuccessfully implement the instruction in the coming time, Anh suggestedthat all concerned people and agencies continue popularising theinstruction and enhance awareness among officials, Party members andpeople on the meaning, importance, purpose and content of theinstruction.
Studying and following President HoChi Minh’s moral example is the Party’s big policy, Anh said, stressingthat the work is both the immediate and long-term duty of every officialand Party member.
In closing the conference, DinhThe Huynh outlined several key tasks and detailed solutions to improvethe implementation of the campaign.-VNA
