The first group of Vietnamese seaplane pilots have completed an extensive training course in Canada.

The training is part of a cooperation programme between Vietnam’s naval forces and its Canadian partners, Viking Air and Sky Pacific.

Vietnam has purchased six seaplanes from Viking Air and sent pilots and technicians to the country to learn how to fly these aircraft.

Addressing the graduation ceremony in Sidney, British Columbia on July 10, both Canadian and Vietnamese sides spoke highly of their cooperation in this field, which they said conveyed the rising level of multifaceted relations at a time when the two nations are celebrating the 40 th year of their diplomatic ties.

They expressed their belief that the friendship and cooperation between the two countries will further develop in the future.-VNA
