The Food andAgricultural Products Quality Development and Control Project (FAPQDCP)was implemented during the 2008-2013 period by the NationalAgro-Forestry-Fisheries Quality Assurance Department and localstakeholders with funding from the Canadian International DevelopmentAgency (CIDA).
It aims to improve food quality and safety andexpand market sharing of Vietnamese agricultural products by applyinggood processing practices and strengthening management ability, foodsafety control and market accessibility.
From its success, theMinistry of Agriculture and Rural Development are now expanding themodel to a broader scale through a project to develop a safe food chainin a bid to ensure the quality of farm products for consumption andexport.-VNA
