Cao Bang (VNA) – The second Ban Gioc Waterfall Tourism Festival opened onOctober 13 in Trung Khanh district, the northern border province of Cao Bang.

The two-day festivalaims to promote Trung Khanh’s images and its people to domestic andinternational tourists, contributing to the district’s socio-economicdevelopment.

The festivalincluded a photo exhibition on Trung Khanh’s people and landscapes, dragondance performances, a love duet singing contest, folk games, a paintingcompetition on the Ban Gioc Waterfall, a boat race on Quay Son river, and a fairof local specialties.

A concertpromoting the friendship between Cao Bang and China’s Guangxi province isscheduled to take place with the participation of music troupes from Guangxi’sJingxi and Daxin districts.

The Ban GiocWaterfall is one of Vietnam’s most impressive natural sights. Thirty metreshigh and 300 metres across, it is the widest, but not the highest, in thecountry. The falls occur on the beautiful jade-blue water of the Quay Son River,as they flows through a pastoral landscape of rice fields and bamboo groves,surrounded by limestone mountains.-VNA

Search volume for Vietnam’s tourism ranks 7th globally

The top 10 most searched Vietnamese destinations were Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Da Nang, Phu Quoc, Nha Trang, Hoi An, Vung Tau, Da Lat, Phan Thiet, and Hue. Notably, Vung Tau and Ninh Binh recorded the highest growth in search volume with over 75%.

Vietnam, Italy promote tourism cooperation
