Carnaval Ha Long 2024 kicks off

Ha Long Carnival Festival 2024 kicked off in Ha Long city, the northeastern province of Quang Ninh, on April 28 evening with an opening ceremony featuring performances and parades both at sea and on beach of the popular UNESCO-recognised bay.

Quang Ninh (VNA) – Ha Long Carnaval Festival 2024 kicked off in Ha Long city, the northeastern province of Quang Ninh, on April 28 evening with an opening ceremony featuringperformances and parades both at sea and on beach of the popularUNESCO-recognised bay.

The festivalbrought together local leading creativity teams, artists and craftsmen, aswell as troupes from Japan’s Hokkaido, China’s Guangxi, Laos, Thailand, andEurope. The stage combined elements both on the shore and on the sea, withhundreds of vessels participating.

A highlight of the carnivalwas the drone light displays, featuring illuminated models combined withfireworks displays, LED technology, sound, and light, among others.

Together with the Ha Long carnaval, otherfestive, sports, cultural, and tourism events are held as parts of the HaLong tourism week 2024, including the opening of a culinarypedestrian street in Bai Chay ward, a sports tournament, a festival of beer andthe province’s famous Cha Muc (fried squid patties), as well as lion-dragondance, modern dance, and kite festivals./.
