Central Highlands culture-inspired dance performance showcased

The Vietnam Dance Week 2024 under the theme “River of Light” opened at the Kon Klor communal house in the Central Highlands province of Kon Tum on October 13.

The opening ceremony was organized by the Vietnam Dance Artists Association, in collaboration with the Kon Tum Provincial People’s Committee.

During the opening event, a contemporary dance performance entitled SeSan was showcased.

The music for the performance was composed by Vietnamese musician Chinh Ba, with international contemporary musicians and artists Oscar Tillman from Sweden, and Yohei Yama from Japan, contributing to the production.

Inspiration for the performance came from the unique features of contemporary dance and movement art. The Vietnam Dance Week 2024 features eight art troupes with over 100 artists. The performances are expected to dazzle audience from October 13 to 15./.
