Sympathize with the plight of poor patients, a volunteer group has cooked and distributed meals for free to poor patients at the National Children's Hospital.

The group operates at house number 61E, lane 879 of La Thanh street, Dong Da district, Hanoi, and delivers meals 2 times a day.

From 10 a.m., members of the Golden Lotus volunteer group gathered at the house to cook. Each person has a different task: cooking, cleaning the vegetables, dividing food into warm servings, and delivering meals to patients.

During nearly 2 years of operation, volunteers stick together like a family because they have the same good intention.

Although each person in the Golden Lotus volunteer group has a different background and life condition, and many people in the group are struggling with their own lives, but with good intentions and the will to share difficulties with poor patients, they continue to work in this group

Each day, Golden Lotus provides 120 to 130 rice boxes with meat and vegetables. In peak time, they provided more than 500 meals; each meal is worth 30-35 thousand VND.

Members of the group use their own money to run the kitchen. They also receive help from sponsors. Some people donate cash, some give rice or clean food to the group./.
