Hanoi (VNA) – An exhibition of 65 aerospace paintings by Vietnamese children opened in Hanoi on April 17 to mark Russia Cosmonaut Day (April 12).
The event was held by the Russian Centre of Science and Culture in Vietnam, Hanoi Children’s Palace Arts and Culture and the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organisations.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, acting director of the Russian Centre of Science and Culture in Vietnam Natalya Shafinskaia stressed that it is necessary to ignite children’s passion for astrology to continue exploring space.
Children’s vivid imaginations were shown in the exhibition, she said, adding that outstanding paintings will be printed in a book called “way to the stars”.
At the event, documentary films about first woman in space Valentina Tereshkova and first Vietnamese in space Pham Tuan were screened.
The exhibition will run until April 21. Awards will be presented for the best paintings the same day.-VNA
