China celebrates diplomatic ties with Vietnam

The Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and the China-Vietnam Friendship Association held a ceremony in Beijing on Jan. 15 to celebrate the 60 th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries.

Senior Chinese diplomats and Vietnamese Ambassador to China Nguyen Van Tho attended the ceremony along with representatives from the Chinese Party, Government, army and the capital city.

Speaking at the event, President of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries Chen Haosu stressed that friendly neighbourliness has been always mainstream of the two countries’ relations since they set up diplomatic ties in 1950.

He stated that boosting the traditional friendship between the two countries would be for the benefits of the two countries and people, as well as for peace and regional development./.
