Hanoi (VNA) – Cambodia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Prak Sokhon on April 22 held talks with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, who is on a visit to the Southeast Asian nation.
Prior to the talks, the two ministers had a personal meeting which lasted nearly one hour.
Speaking at a press conference following the talks, host and guest stressed that the visit aims to enhance and deepen the relations and cooperation outcomes between the two countries.
The Chinese Foreign Minister lauded the rapid development and remarkable achievements Cambodia has recorded under the leadership of the Royal Government of Cambodia headed by Prime Minister Hun Sen.
China will continue consolidating its cooperation with Cambodia in all fields, ranging from politics and economy to culture and others, he affirmed.
During his stay in Cambodia from April 21-22, Wang Yi was scheduled to meet with King Norodom Sihamoni and hold separate meetings with PM Hun Sen and Deputy PM Hor Hamhong.-VNA
