Lt. Gen. Nguyen Trong Nghia confirmed that defence cooperation is a pillar of the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between Vietnam and China.
On behalf of the General Department of Politics, the officer asked for continued cooperation between the Xi’an Politics Institute and the VPA’s functional agencies in training officials, sharing information and experience in political work and teaching methods in the subjects of social sciences and humanities.
Major General Xie Baoguo expressed his hopes that the two armies would increase exchanges of high-ranking delegations, especially of young military officers.
He added that the Xi’an Politics Institute would give more training quota to Vietnamese military officers in the next years.-VNA
