Political parties in Algeria, Italy admire Party chief Nguyen Phu Trong’s devotion

Hanoi (VNA) – General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee Nguyen Phu Trong is one of the great figures, together with President Ho Chi Minh and General Vo Nguyen Giap, Vietnam has contributed to humankind, said an Algerian official.

In an interview granted to the Vietnam News Agency (VNA), Mourad Lamoudi, who is in charge of external relations at the National Liberation Front (FLN) Party Central Committee of Algeria, said the General Secretary left imprints as a revolutionary, a visionary leader, and an excellent politician.

He made outstanding contributions to Vietnam’s development in terms of Party building and rectification, and the fight against corruption, Lamoudi said, noting the late leader always demonstrated the message of peace and harmony between all peoples, and conducted a truly resolute fight against injustice and neo-colonialism, and resolutely backed justice.

The Algerian official also lauded the Party leader’s diplomacy, which he said must be coined from Vietnamese people’s struggles, and inspired from their legitimate aspirations for the sake of the nation.

With his respectable modesty, the General Secretary left valuable lessons for many nations around the world and he will always be remembered by everyone, Lamoudi affirmed.

The official noted that the FLN always pays attention to developing and promoting the traditional friendship, fraternity, and solidarity with the Vietnamese people and the CPV.

Lamoudi conveyed condolences from FLN Secretary General Abdelkrim Benmbarek, who was stricken by grief at the Vietnamese Party chief’s passing.

Many Algerian friends, including Mohammed Djouadj, Vice President of the World Vovinam Federation and Chairman of the African Vovinam Federation, said General Secretary Trong’s death is a great loss to not only Vietnamese people, but also those loving the Southeast Asian nation.

Under the General Secretary’s leadership, the CPV led the country to remarkable socio-economic achievements, Djouadj continue, calling Vietnam a model of sustainable development amidst difficulties and complexities.

He held that the Party chief made a great devotion to building a culture imbued with national identity, which is seen as a true spiritual foundation of the society, an intrinsic strength, and an impulse for national development.

Lauding the “bamboo diplomacy” policy initiated by the leader, he said Vietnam has set up extensive cooperation with countries and expanded the network of partners, and that the policy has helped the country reap economic achievements, with the fastest growth rate in Southeast Asia, and enjoy an advanced position in the international arena.

The Party chief also set a shining example of studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality, and lifestyle, Djouadj said, praising the General Secretary’s steel-like spirit and will to overcome hardship.

Speaking with the VNA, General Secretary of the Italian Communist Party (PCI) Mauro Alboresi said thanks to the deceased’s significant contributions, Vietnam has made outstanding progress and been highly valued by the international community.

Alboresi said the CPV has been growing and known how to flexibly respond to all situations, and shown its qualities and mettle in all actions. He also praised the General Secretary’s legacy for the international communist movement.

The PCI leader expressed his admiration for the General Secretary’s thought and work, saying his passing is a huge loss not only to the Vietnamese communists and people but also the world communist movement./.
