Hanoi (VNA) – Three Chinese navy ships carrying 750 sailors will make their first port call at Vietnam’s newly-inaugurated Cam Ranh International Port in central Khanh Hoa province from October 22-26.
During their four-day visit, Chinese military personnel will participate in sport exchange activities with Vietnamese navy, meetings with leaders of the province and Naval Region 4 and sightseeing in Nha Trang city, said the provincial external relations department on October 20.
The visit aims to strengthen exchange, friendship, cooperation, trust and mutual understanding between Vietnam and China.
Since opening in March this year, Cam Ranh International Port has hosted ships from different countries including France, Japan, Singapore and the United States.-VNA
