By 2022, CNN will introduce Hanoi and Vietnam as aninnovation centre of the world.
By 2023-2024, the future of Hanoi will be featured with thetheme “Hanoi: a leading mindset”, which will set criteria for Hanoi tointegrate with future cities globally.
The channel will produce 30-second clips introducing the F1race and Southeast Asian Games 2021, dozens of 60-second clips, a series of30-minute special television programmes, and articles on “Hanoi – ThreeGenerations” and “Hanoi – Future City”, all to be featured on digital platformsalong with advertising banners.
Such content will be broadcast on television and digitalplatforms, such as computers, apps on on hand-held devices, and CNN socialmedia targeting the Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, North America, andSouth Asia.
Previously on December 22, 2016, Hanoi signed a 1 millionUSD cooperation agreement with the CNN television channel to popularise thecity, thus bringing in more tourists to Vietnam and Hanoi in particular.
A survey byBritish research firm BDRC Continental in 2017 found that 55 percent of respondentssaid ads on CNN have sparked interest in travelling to Hanoi to discover itsfood, shopping, culture, and historic relics. The figure rose by 111 percent in2018.
Hanoi has beennamed among the most attractive destinations in the region and the world, winningawards such as “Asia’s Leading Destination” and “World’s Leading CityDestination” by the 2018 World Travel Awards,
