A product of Koyu & Unitek (Photo: 99poultry.com) Dong Nai (VNA) - The Koyu & Unitek Co Ltd has recently inaugurated a meatprocessing plant with a daily capacity of 50,000 chickens at the Long Binhindustrial park in the southern province of Dong Nai, as part of itspreparation to export poultry products to Japan.
The plant builtat cost of 6 million USD has been equipped with advanced machinery importedfrom Japan and run following strict hygiene and food safety standards.
Chickensfor production are sourced from a farm run by Nguyen Minh Kha in Nam Cat Tiencommune, Tan Phu district.
Kha said hehas taken part in the supply chain for poultry export to Japan for two years.He made sure his poultry is free from diseases and Japan-banned antibiotics.
The farm isexpected to be scaled up to 720,000 chickens in next June or July from thecurrent figure of 560,000. Most of its breeds have been imported from France,while feed has been provided by De Heus Vietnam.
The lastbarrier for Koyu & Unitek chicken meat products is animal quarantine fromboth countries.
Nguyen VanQuyen, head of the company’s export project board, said Koyu & Unitek isconfident to pass the examination as its production chain is strictly in linewith standards set by Japan.
The companyexpected to sell chicken products in the home market from April and ship itsfirst chicken container to Japan in June or July.-VNA
