The People’s Committee of the central province of Quang Tri has announced a project to open the Con Co island tourism route.

Hanoi (VNA) – The People’s Committee of the central province ofQuang Tri has announced a project to open the Con Co island tourism route.

Tourists will be able to travel to theisland by high-speed boat, with round-trip tickets costing 250,000 VND (about11 USD) per person.

 

Located 30 km from the mainland, Con Coisland, which crosses the 17th parallel, is considered an “outpost watch” dueto its location.

Covering 2.3 square kilometres, it is one of the most magnificent islands ofthe central region with its diverse ecosystem.

Popular activities on the island include swimming, scuba-diving, canoeing,fishing and marine sports.

Tourists to Con Co can also visit the hallof tradition which houses items reflecting the history of the island district’sarmy and people over the past 55 years, pay tribute to Hill 37 Monument andvisit Ben Nghe – Mom Ho beach.-VNA
