Hanoi (VNA) – President Nguyen Xuan Phuc on July 21 sent a message ofcongratulations to José Pedro Castillo Terrones on his election as President ofPeru for 2021-2026 tenure.
Vietnam and Peru established diplomatic ties on November 14, 1994.
Trade between Vietnam and Peru increased from 284.96 million USD in 2014 to422.73 million USD in 2019.
Last year, the value stood at only 391.17 million USD due to the impact of theCOVID-19 pandemic. However, the bilateral trade grew strongly in the first halfof this year to reach 278.27 million USD, up 78.7 percent year-on-year./.
