Hanoi (VNA) – Leaders ofVietnam have sent congratulatory messages to new leaders of Mozambique.

National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi KimNgan congratulated Esperanca Bias on her appointment as the new speaker ofMozambique’s Assembly.

The same day, Prime Minister Nguyen XuanPhuc congratulated Carlos Agostinho do Rosario on his re-appointment as thePrime Minister of the African country.

On the occasion, Deputy PM and ForeignMinister Pham Binh Minh cabled his congratulatory message to Veronica NatanielMacamo Dlhovo on her appointment as Mozambique’s Minister of Foreign Affairsand Cooperation.

Vietnam and Mozambique establishedbilateral diplomatic ties on June 25, 1975 – the day the African nationdeclared its independence./.

US Ambassador awarded Friendship Order

The honour was presented by Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung, on behalf of State President Luong Cuong, at a ceremony in Hanoi. The Order is a prestigious award of the Vietnamese State bestowed upon foreign individuals and collectives for their significant contributions to fostering friendship, solidarity and cooperation between Vietnam and other countries.

Vietnam seeks stronger partnership with Singapore

The Deputy PM expressed his hope that Lee will continue to support efforts to further advance Vietnam–Singapore relations in a more practical and effective manner, as well as provide advice and share experience in developing financial centres and promoting connectivity between the two countries’ international financial centres.
