Hanoi (VNA) – Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on August 20 cabled acongratulatory message to ImranAhmed Khan Niazi on his election as Prime Minister of Pakistan.

The same day, National Assembly Chairwoman NguyenThi Kim Ngan extended a message of congratulations to Asad Qaiser for his election as Speaker of theNational Assembly of Pakistan.

Deputy PrimeMinister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh also congratulatedPakistan’s new Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi.

Vietnam and Pakistan have worked to set outinitiatives and practical, flexible measures to reach the target of 1 billionUSD in bilateral trade by 2020.

The two countries also agreed to increase the exchangeof business delegations to optimise investment and business opportunities.

Pakistan is the biggest importer of Vietnamesetea. The export value earned from this market accounted for 32.1 percent of Vietnam’stea exports, or 29.9 million USD, in the first half of this year. –VNA
