Most of credit organisations expect their business performance will keep improving in 2019 (Photo: VNA) Hanoi (VNA) – Most of credit organisations expecttheir business performance will keep improving in 2019, according to thecentral bank’s Monetary Forecasting and Statistics Department.
According to the department’s recent survey, 86percent of local credit organisations perceived that their business situationimproved in 2018, and 88 percent hope it will continue to get better this year.
A majority of the institutions also believe thebanking system’s liquidity in terms of both the Vietnamese dong and foreigncurrencies will remain positive in 2019.
They said the rate of non-performing loans outof the outstanding credit balance was kept at a low level last year and tendsto decline in 2019. They expect a growth rate at 13.9 percent for capitalmobilisation and a credit growth rate at 15.27 percent by the end of this year,with faster growth in mobilised capital and credit in the Vietnamese dong.
The organisations added the business environmentfor them has been strongly improved since last year and more improvement isexpected for this year.
About 77.6 percent of them predict the demandfor banking services will increase, and clients will have the biggest demand forgetting loans, making deposits and using payment services.
While 63.5 percent forecast overall risks of allclient groups will remain stable in 2019, 15.3 percent said the risks arelikely to decrease, the survey shows.-VNA
