Vietnam’s pepper farmers are on pins and needles as pepper prices continue to decline. The industry is in crisis due to unsustainable development, lack of strict control over production.
The cultivation sector aims to gross over 21 billion USD in export turnover in 2018, representing a year-on-year rise of 2.2-2.3 percent, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
More and more Vietnamese companies are now turning to export of processed and value-added products and improving their quality to penetrate global markets.
