Cyclist places second in Tour of Thailand

Hanoi (VNA) - Nguyen Thi That of Vietnammissed the yellow jersey in the last few minutes of the Tour of Thailandcycling tournament on April 9.

That wasthe leading athlete after winning the first two stages, but she finished thirdin the last stage of the event, which ran around Chiang Mai for 85km, with atime of 2hr 51.49min. The stage winner was Thailand’s Somrat Phetradin, whileBjornsrud Miriam of Norway’s Hitec Products crew was second.

Somrat, thus, won the yellow jersey with a totaltime of 7:21.44, That (7:21.71) came second, and Miriam (7:21.84) was third.

However,the Vietnamese grabbed the green jersey for being the best cyclist.

Vietnam finished fourth in the team ranking.Thailand came first, followed by Japan and Hitec Products.-VNA

Photo exhibition highlights Vietnam–Israel cultural ties
