Czech supports Vietnamese’s integration into community

The Moravia party, in particular, has actively adoptedpolicies to enhance the traditional friendship and cooperation betweenthe two countries, said Chairman Vojtech Filip during his workingsession with Ha Thi Khiet, Party Central Committee Secretary and head ofthe Party Commission for Mass Mobilisation, in Prague on August 19.

The Vietnamese official thanked the Czech Republic for itsprovision of official development assistance (ODA) for Vietnam aswell as supporting the Vietnamese, who have been recognised as aminority group in 2013, to integrate into mainstream activities.

She said she hopes that 65,000 Vietnamese in the East Europeancountry will help develop the long-standing friendship and cooperativeties between the two countries.

Khiet told her hostabout the East Sea issue and Vietnam’s persistent stance anddetermination of safeguarding the nation’s territorial sovereignty bypeaceful means and in line with international law.

The Czech Party Chairman supported Vietnam’s settlement of disputes inthe East Sea at multilateral and international forums.

The same day, Khiet had a working session with officials from the Vietnamese Embassy in the Czech Republic.-VNA
