Claus Dieter Gerhardt, a German bread maker, has taught numerous deaf and dumb children in the capital city of Hanoi how to make German-style breads.

“Gerhardt teaches us everything from how to prepare wheat flour to baking these kinds of breads, said one of his apprentices while referring to his rich experiences and know-how in bread-making.

In addition, in bakery “Donkey Donuts Co”, he teaches us social skills, such as how to work and learn together and how to transfer knowledge to others, the apprentice happily said.

Gerhardt has been sent to Hanoi by the Senior Experten Service (SES) since April. So far, the non-profit foundation of the German Industry for International Cooperation has dispatched dozens of experts to help Vietnam in garment and textile, English training, ceramics and industrial hygiene./.
