Deputies scrutinise development plan execution

According to an announcement issued by the National Assembly Office, thediscussion, chaired by NA Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, wasbroadcast live on Vietnam Television (VTV) and Radio Voice of Vietnam (VOV) channels.

As many as 48 deputies from 45 centrally-run cities and provincestook floor dealing with the situation and measures to removedifficulties for businesses and solve stagnant inventories, fluctuationsin the prices of petrol, oil and gold, and corruption, waste andweaknesses in public investment management.

Thedeputies also paid their attention to the implementation of nationaltarget programmes, policies to reduce poverty and ensure socialsecurity, public health care and hospital overloads, and food hygieneand safety.

At the session, they also talked about asocio-economic development plan for 2013, focusing on overall economicobjectives and targets, the restructuring of the credit system, thesettlement of bad debts and administrative procedure reforms.

Other issues of the plan, including investment in building new ruralareas, salary increase roadmap, issuance of bonds for transport projectsas well as State budget allocations were deliberated.

All of these issues will continue to be debated on October 31.-VNA

NA meeting considers personnel affairs
