Deputy Defence Minister Sen. Lieut. Gen. Nguyen Chi Vinh met with Indian Ambassador to Vietnam Ranjit Rae in Hanoi on September 11 to discuss preparations for the upcoming seventh Vietnam-India defence policy dialogue.
The dialogue will focus on measures to boost the two countries’ strategic cooperation in the region along with their cooperation in the defence industry, army medics, search and rescue activities and personnel training.
The host and guest highlighted the achievements in defence cooperation between the two armies, especially in delegation exchange and personnel training.
They both affirmed that the two armies should strengthen their ties in defence industry, defence-served IT and officer training in all domains.
Ambassador Ranjit Rae took the occasion to pass on the Indian Defence Minister’s invitation to visit India to Minister Phung Quang Thanh with specific schedule being fixed later.-VNA
