Lim Chhay, who is leading a delegation of 10 Cambodians who assisted the Vietnamese voluntary soldiers in Cambodia , said he hopes both nations will increase public awareness of the traditional bilateral friendship and solidarity, especially among the youth, to help foster close sentiments between the two peoples.
Phuc affirmed that thanks to mutual solidarity, the two peoples have gained great victories during their national liberation in the past as well as national construction and development at present.
He described the Vietnam – Cambodia traditional friendship as an invaluable asset of the two nations and a decisive factor for each country’s revolution.
The same day, the delegation met with Vietnamese voluntary soldiers and specialists who once worked in Cambodia at a friendship exchange.
They said that the time-honoured traditional friendship and close sentiments between the two peoples will help further promote the two countries’ solidarity.-VNA
